Use Arkansas Criminal History (ARCH) when the goal is the Arkansas State Police public criminal-history product.
The Judiciary’s Case Search supports participant and case searching. Save the case number before moving from a name match to a conclusion.
| Feature | Search ARCourts | ARCH |
|---|---|---|
| Primary purpose | Locate and inspect public court-case information. | Obtain Arkansas public criminal-history information. |
| Useful details | Parties, filings, charges, dispositions, events, judgments, some public documents. | Arkansas history elements released by the State Police system. |
| Identity method | Case/participant search; verify the case belongs to the intended person. | Name based; ARCH warns that accurate identifiers, especially DOB, matter. |
| Certification | Court-copy certification depends on the filing court. | ARCH itself does not issue a certified criminal-history result. |
Begin at the official Arkansas Judiciary Case Search. If several candidates appear, narrow by case details rather than choosing the first name match.
Record court, case number, party name, filing date, and the charge/disposition actually displayed.
Some participating courts link filed documents. If the exact paper is not available, contact the filing court instead of inferring its wording.
Distinguish a pending charge, dismissal, conviction, amended charge, and judgment. The initial allegation alone does not answer how the case ended.
The ARCH service currently charges $24 per search. It is an Arkansas-only public criminal-history product, relies on the identifying data supplied by the requester, and states that certified history results are not provided through ARCH. Those limits should travel with any saved PDF or summary.
ARCH states that an incorrect DOB can prevent the intended subject from being returned. Verify the identifier before paying for another name search.
Search ARCourts follows cases in participating Arkansas courts; ARCH is the separate State Police history product.
If a recipient requires a certified criminal-history result, ARCH directs the requester to the Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau by mail or in person.
When the available identifiers do not distinguish two people, document the ambiguity instead of assigning the record.
If a recipient wants proof of how one prosecution ended, the relevant court’s certified filing is the natural record. If the recipient instead requires a certified Arkansas criminal-history result, follow the State Police Identification Bureau instructions referenced by ARCH. Ask the recipient which one it means before ordering; the words “certified record” alone do not identify the product.
